Toyota’s container handlers are designed to improve performance and efficiency in ports, terminals rail yards, shipping and break bulk applications. With Toyota equipment you can:
– Contain Costs with a high-performance diesel engine that is powerful, yet stingy on fuel consumption.
– Increase Up Time with easy access to all major components lowers service costs and helps get your machine back in action quickly.
Container Handling Equipment By Toyota
Toyota’s container handlers are engineered to reduced freight costs and improve productivity. Toyota equipment is designed with intuitive, ergonomic features and offers unmatched operator visibility; and because it’s Toyota, safety comes standard.
Toyota’s Empty Container Handlers and Loaded Container Handlers include fast lifting cycles and a mast design that includes side spreading for twistlock (single-stack) or optional hook (double-stack) container handling, Toyota Reach Stackers are designed to handle a diverse range of heavy-lift applications including loading and unloading trailers and transporting wind turbine components. Toyota’s Reach Stacker also offers front stabilizers for second and third rail operations in addition to twistlock, pin-style and trailer attachments.
Toyota’s Empty Container Handlers can lift up to 19,800 lbs at a speed of 125 fpm thanks to powerful performance from a Cummins® 6.7 liter, 215 hp turbocharged diesel engine and Dana 32,000 power shift transmission with three forward/reverse speeds. Twelve plate modulation offers smooth shifting plus protection against directional change stock loads, with constant mesh gears during shifting.
Toyota’s Empty Container Handlers can stack up to eight 8′ 6″ containers or seven 9′ 6″ containers. The side-post attachment (standard) extends and retracts to handle 20 and 40-foot empty containers, and can be quickly adjusted to handle 53-foot containers.
These machines provide exceptional stability thanks to a 182” width over the drive tires and a large 180” wheelbase — plus a 190% reserve capacity. The internal slope piler carriage offers efficient container handling of trailers on uneven ground.
Toyota’s Loaded Container Handlers utilize a turbocharged 335 hp Cummins® QSM-11 diesel engine and Dana 36,000 powershift transmission with three forward/reverse speeds. A load-sensing “on demand” steer pump increases vehicle efficiency by up to 27% over standard, individual gear pumps.
These powerful machines can stack 9′ 6″ loaded containers six high with a 47 fpm lifting speed. A wide-view mast utilizes nested cylinders and chains for maximum visibility at all load heights, and the intuitive, multi-function joystick control adds versatility while simplifying operation.
Toyota’s Reach Stacker has a 99,000 lb. lifting capacity and a diesel-powered reach depth of 3 rows. This versatile machine has a high stacking capacity (up to five 9′ 6″ containers) and shackle points that allow the Reach Stacker to be used as a crane. Multiple service and work lights allow for late night or early morning operation.
A 4-point top pick loaded container attachment with automatic locking vertical twistlocks can extend/retract to handle 8-foot ISO containers from 20 to 53-feet long. Attachments can rotate 185° in one direction and 95° in the opposite direction for a wider range of movement and added productivity.
Inclination and optical distance sensors locate the precise position of containers for safety interlocks. A damage prevention system utilizes ultrasonic sensors to decrease container damage and increase attachment longevity.
100% Made in the USA
Unlike many other manufacturers, every component of every Toyota Container Handler is made in the USA. Toyota Container Handlers are not just assembled in the U.S.A., they’re manufactured here.
